Here are answers to the most frequently asked questions we receive about SeeUsPlay. If you have any questions not answered here, please reach out to us.
Q: What's the difference between SeeUsPlay plans?
We offer two subscription plans: 20-game pack and Unlimited games. Both plans make it easy to record your games and then automatically create full game and highlight videos.
The 20-game pack subscription is perfect for younger or rec league teams that play a limited number of games. And because the 20-game pack can be used across multiple teams, it's also perfect for families with kids playing on different teams.
The Unlimited games subscription is designed for youth teams that play 40+ games per year. With the Unlimited games plan you can film your team's league play, tournament games, key scrimmages and more!
With both plans you'll need to purchase a SeeUsPlay Rig, 2 GoPro cameras and SD cards, a tripod and sandbags, and other recommended accessories (from our accessories store or third party stores).
Q: Can I use my GoPro camera normally when it's not being used for making SeeUsPlay videos?
Yup! Use your camera to film all your favorite activities outside of soccer games. When you use your GoPro with SeeUsPlay we automatically scan your camera settings and update them to our required values. With our snap in quick-release mounts it takes just seconds to attach and deattach your camera to the SeeUsPlay Rig.
Q: Why is the video quality of SeeUsPlay so much better than other soccer cameras?
We use ultra-high resolution GoPro cameras which record the field in 5K. Most soccer cameras use 4K sensors and since 5K has nearly twice as many pixels, it's a difference you can't miss. GoPro is well known for offering market-leading action camera video quality, with proprietary image processing technology built into their GP-series camera chips. On top of that, we add in our own Tri-Steady video stabilization technology and other proprietary techniques for ensuring stunning soccer video quality.
Q: What mobile OS does the SeeUsPlay App support?
We support recent versions of both Android and iOS. See your app store for more details.
Q: Is the SeeUsPlay Rig rainproof?
Yes, it is! We include GoPro USB passthrough doors with the Rig which enable you to create a rainproof connection between the cameras and the power bank inside the Rig. In addition, the SeeUsPlay Shade helps prevent rain drops from getting on the GoPro lens covers.
You may see soccer cameras that advertise lens covers with special coatings to repel water. In our experience, no coating can completely stop water from gathering on the lens cover. You'll get the best quality video if you can stop the rain drops from getting to the lens covers in the first place!
Note: Never use the SeeUsPlay Rig when there is a chance of lightning (and the game shouldn't be going on either!).
Q: Does SeeUsPlay support the GoPro Hero12 Black?
Yes!
Q: What GoPro cameras does SeeUsPlay support?
We support the GoPro Hero12 Black, Hero11 Black and Hero9 Black.
Q: Why doesn't SeeUsPlay support the GoPro Hero10 Black and the Hero11 Mini?
The Hero10's 5.3k recording mode generates truly stunning video, but the camera may overheat when recording in 5.3K for long periods such as the 1-2 hours needed to capture a soccer game.
We love the form factor of the Hero11 Mini; however, the built-in battery means it doesn't currently work well with the SeeUsPlay use case. We're continuing to explore options for supporting the Mini in the future.
Q: Will GoPro Hero8 Black or earlier models work with SeeUsPlay?
Not currently. Based on extensive testing to deliver the best quality results and make recording as easy as possible, we only support Hero9/11/12 Black models.
Q: Can I use two different GoPro models with SeeUsPlay?
Not currently. You must use either two Hero9 Black cameras, two Hero11 Black cameras or two Hero12 Black cameras.
Q: Does SeeUsPlay sell GoPro cameras?

Q: How long does it take for SeeUsPlay to upload video from my cameras?
It depends on the length of the game and the speed of your internet connection. For a typical 90 minute game you can expect the upload to take anywhere from 30 minutes to a few hours or longer. Once started, upload and video creation are fully automated, so you can relax and wait for an email letting you know your videos have been uploaded to YouTube.
Q: How does SeeUsPlay compare to other automated soccer cameras?
We offer superior video quality due to our use of ultra-high resolution 5K GoPro cameras which record with about twice as many pixels as leading competitor's 4K cameras. Better yet, our plans start at about half the price (or less!) of competitors' full-team annual costs at just $36 per player for an 18-player team. That's twice the quality for half the price - a value you can't beat!
